Steve Trachsel took a no-hitter into the 7th inning at the ballpark as the
Santa Fe Trailer Bitches beat the Columbus Crowd by the count of 3 to
2.
Trachsel(5-1) gave Santa Fe a solid outing. He was reached for 2 hits and 2
walks in 6 and 2/3 innings. Trachsel struckout 9 Columbus batters. The
right-handed Trachsel lost his chance for a no-hitter when Jeff Kent tripled
with two outs in the 7th inning. Santa Fe and Columbus each finished the
afternoon with 4 hits.
Trachsel was helped out by Jason Isringhausen who recorded his 22nd save.
Odalis Perez(3-3) took the loss. Despite the loss, he struckout 8 Santa Fe
